I was very happy with the service I received. The product they use worked great. I had tile grout sealed and tile cleaned after one year. They also cleaned the carpets. Everything looks brand new again. I previously had my carpets cleaned by another company and I really liked All Floors product better and my carpets looked really nice after they cleaned them. I highly recommend Gabriel and Derrick. They were very friendly and very easy to work with. They spent extra time fixing imperfections and chips in my tile. I will definitely use them again and I highly recommend them. They know their product.

UPDATE 2024

All Floors has done my tile cleaning and grout sealing, carpet cleaning, and shower cleaning throughout the last 4 years. They are very professional and hard workers. Everything is beautiful when they are done. I recently had them clean my new tile floor from grout haze and seal my grout. Beautiful is all I can say. I couldn't remove the haze myself. They take the extra time to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. They are very dependable. I highly recommend them and know you will enjoy working with them.

01

GROUT HAZE!

Grout Haze and Its Consequences

What Is Grout Haze? Grout haze is a common byproduct of the tile installation process. It occurs when a thin layer of grout is left on the surface of the tiles after installation, often due to inadequate cleaning. While grout haze might seem like a minor issue, it can attract dirt and soil, making your tiles look dull and dirty over time.

Why It’s Not 100% the Builder's Fault Builders are often working under tight schedules and may not have the time to thoroughly clean the grout haze. Additionally, they might use acidic cleaners in an attempt to remove the haze. However, if these cleaners are not properly neutralized, they can leave the grout in an acidic state, which leads to rapid soiling and erosion.

Self-Inspection Tip Inspect your tiles closely for a dull, whitish film. If you notice this haze, it's important to address it promptly to prevent long-term damage.

IMPROPER GROUT SEALING!

The Problem with Sealer Remnants During the construction process, any attempts to seal the grout can be undermined by subsequent cleaning with acidic solutions, which strip away the sealer. As a result, your grout may not be properly sealed, leaving it vulnerable to stains, moisture, and erosion.

Impact on Grout Unsealed grout can quickly become a magnet for dirt and grime, making it difficult to keep clean. Over time, this can lead to significant discoloration and degradation of the grout lines.

Self-Inspection Tip Test a small, inconspicuous area of your grout with a few drops of water. If the water soaks in, rather than beading up, your grout is not properly sealed and needs attention.

03

BRITTLE, SOFT GROUT

Over-Mixed with Water Grout that has been over-mixed with water during the installation process can become brittle and soft. This can lead to cracks and gaps forming in your grout lines, which are not only unsightly but also allow moisture to penetrate, causing further damage.

Common Issues You might notice small cracks forming in the grout lines or sections where the grout seems to be crumbling away. This is a clear sign that the grout mix was not correctly prepared.

Self-Inspection Tip Run your finger along the grout lines. If the grout feels loose or crumbles easily, it's a sign that it was over-mixed and needs to be replaced.

04

HOLES AND CRACKS

Causes and Consequences Holes and cracks in your grout can occur for a variety of reasons, including improper mixing, insufficient curing time, or simply wear and tear. These imperfections not only detract from the appearance of your tiles but also provide entry points for moisture, which can lead to mold growth and further deterioration.

Why It's Crucial to Address Them Unaddressed holes and cracks can expand over time, leading to more extensive and expensive repairs down the line.

Self-Inspection Tip Perform a thorough inspection of your grout lines, looking for any visible holes or cracks. Pay special attention to areas around corners and edges where damage is more likely to occur.

05

SUBFLOOR ISSUES

Improper Installation and Spot Bonding If your subfloor is not properly prepared or if the tiles are installed using spot bonding (where adhesive is applied in spots rather than a full bed), it can lead to hollow tiles or tiles that eventually debond and lift away from the floor.

Signs of Trouble You might hear a hollow sound when tapping on your tiles or notice that some tiles seem loose or move slightly when stepped on. These are indicators of subfloor issues that need to be addressed.

Self-Inspection Tip Gently tap on your tiles with a wooden mallet. If you hear a hollow sound, it’s a sign that the tile is not properly bonded to the subfloor and may need to be reinstalled.

WHAT TO DO

If you are experiencing any of these issues, you must act immediately to protect your surfaces' longevity and integrity. This could include removing Grout Haze, Deep cleaning and Proper Sealing, Re-Polishing, and Repairs. Our technicians assess the situation and provide the most detailed scope of work required, then equip you with the correct maintenance products for your continued success!

Immediately if you are mopping or cleaning with anything acidic, it is highly recommended to halt that and start using a PH Neutral Product. We reccomend the products found here! Specifically the Shower Kit, MB-5 and Easy Oxy to ensure your surfaces are neutral and not in an acidic state prone to erosion from harsh chemicals meant for fiberglass!
